Nike is releasing its signature shoe for Valentine's Day. Most of the pairs released for the occasion in previous years had a romantic feel thanks to their embellishments and vibrant colors.
Nike is releasing shoes here with a much more platonic design: the Dunk Low "Yellow Heart", or the official sneaker of the friend zone.
The "Yellow Heart" is largely devoid of any embellishment, except (you guessed it) for a yellow heart on its lateral heel, raised above the rest of the shoe, trimmed in white and stamped with a small Swoosh. 
From a construction standpoint, this low-top Dunk uses both smooth and tumbled white leathers, while the finishing details are served by a still pale yellow Swoosh and yellow Nike Sportswear graphics on the tongue, heel, and insole. 
It is worth noting that an initial leak of the pair last November showed it with much more glossy patent leather on its overlays. 
A women's-sized sneaker that's likely to be a victim of its own success, the Nike Dunk Low "Yellow Heart" currently has no release date. However, it's probable that it will be released around February 14th, Valentine's Day.
