Before joining Nike in June 2003, Kobe Bryant had signed a six-year contract with the three-stripe brand.

That was before he entered the NBA at the age of only 17.

During his first year, the player popularized the Top Ten pair which was released during the 1996-1997 season as part of the Feet You Wear series from Adidas' Basketball division.

Kobe Bryant was then able to release his own first signature pair the following year, the KB8.

The Top Ten pairs were updated with more modern tools, materials and colours in 2010.

Now they are returning in a range of colours strongly reminiscent of the 90s, including one colour representing the colour palette of the "Lakers" team of which Kobe Bryant was an integral part throughout his career.

Two versions, white and black with silver details, are also available.

Designed for hardwood sports floors, the pairs are made of a blend of nylon mesh and leather on the upper with oversized tongues.

Overlapping wavy panels and nylon straps that form the three-stripe logos on the sides define the look of the pair.

Cartoon embroidery decorates the heel counter and finally, thick grips on the outsole.

The new Adidas Top Ten has officially landed in Taiwan, but the release in the United States and worldwide has not yet been announced.
