Rockstar has just confirmed the information leaked earlier this week by various US media outlets. In a brief statement, the studio assured that the game will be revealed at the beginning of December!
This means fans will be treated to an engaging trailer and likely a glimpse of gameplay. Clearly, gamers worldwide are eagerly awaiting this. Speculation surrounding the game is rife, and its parent company, Take-Two, is already touting it as a revolution in the gaming world. Without a doubt, expectations for GTA 6 are exceptionally high, if not sky-high.
Rockstar press release:
Next month will mark the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games.
Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we've had the opportunity to create games we're truly passionate about. Without you, none of this would be possible, and we're incredibly grateful that you've shared this journey with us.
In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could become as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope to have created games you love as part of our efforts to be a part of that evolution.
We are very excited to announce that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We hope to share these experiences with you all for many years to come.
In a recent Bloomberg article, Jason Schreier mentioned the possibility of an official GTA 6 announcement sometime in the coming week. However, it's advisable not to get too carried away with this revelation. Schreier suggests that a full trailer will likely only be unveiled next month, in December, to coincide with Rockstar Games' 25th anniversary. Unfortunately, no specific date has been given yet.
Some speculate about a possible presentation at the 2023 Game Awards, although Rockstar Games typically prefers to operate independently. Therefore, it's highly likely that the GTA 6 trailer will appear on various platforms on an ordinary day, outside of major media events.
