Although New Balance maintains strong ties to its home country of the United States, the brand continues to offer exclusives to the global market, such as in Japan where significant varieties of unique pairs are released each year.
It is at the beginning of 2023 that the Japanese retailer BEAMS offers two new looks on the New Balance 57/40 model via its MING by BEAMS line.
The shape of the pair is a familiar silhouette in the Japanese market with launches such as a triple black GORE-TEX pair hitting stores in December. Now the pair is showing off “Bone” and “Charcoal” colorways.
Taking on the classic New Balance color combinations of white and grey, each upper features clean suede over a breathable mesh base with oversized “N” logos on each side.
Staying true to the pair's overall look, the 57/40's wavy midsole design appears in white with a black rubber outsole supporting it.
